I'm here today to remind you about challenge #36 at Scribble & Scrap. The current challenge runs until 6pm (GMT) on Saturday. The prizes and a full list of all the rules are on the blog. The theme for Scribble & Scrap challenges is always "Anything Goes"
My DT card features a stamp, papers and embellishments available in the Scribble & Scrap shop.

I started by covering my card with purple card and a turquoise paper from the Lilibet Designer paper pack. I made two more matted panels using First Edition New Bloom papers and added a length of lace across the card.

The image is Sweet Pea Stamp's Norma J Burnell's Fairy Tangles Will-o and the Wisps stamp. I coloured it with a mix of Copics and Promarkers and mounted it onto purple card.

The flowers are Curiosity Corner Paper Blossoms and Scribble & Scrap Flowers, White and Sky. The feathers were made from a new die. I finished the card with some faux half pearls.
The Scribble & Scrap shop is open 24 hours a day, every day,  for your crafty needs so don't forget to go and have a look round.  I hope you can find the time to visit the Scribble & Scrap blog to enter your crafty creations.

Scribble & Scrap Challenge #36

Welcome to Challenge #36 at Scribble & Scrap. Thank you to all who joined in with challenge #35, the winners have been announced on the blog. There is a fabulous new prize for this challenge.
The theme for Scribble & Scrap is always "Anything Goes" and there is a full list of all the rules on the blog.
My DT card features two stamp sets available in the Scribble & Scrap shop.

I used an X-cut 'Build a Scene' die set to create the background for this card. All the pieces have been simply layered up. I wrapped some green and gold ribbon around the bottom and tucked in some branches cut with a Marianne die.

The stamps are from the Santoro Gorjuss 'The Fox' set. I have coloured the images with a mix of Copics and Promarkers and cut round them before fixing to the card.

There are 10 stamps in the set including these two cute foxes.
The sentiment is from the Curiosity Corner Sentiment stamp set and has been embossed in gold.

Scribble & Scrap Challenge #35 Reminder

It's a busy weekend for me and after yesterday's Docrafts demo here is my reminder for challenge #35 at Scribble & Scrap. The current challenge runs until 6pm (GMT) on Saturday. A full list of all the rules is on the blog. The theme for Scribble & Scrap is always "Anything Goes"
My DT card features a stamp, papers and embellishments available in the Scribble & Scrap shop.

I covered a 6"x 6" card blank with purple card and layered a paper from First Edition New Blooms. I added a Dovecraft cream doily, cut in two, and created a band across the centre with another paper from the same set.

The image is Sweet Pea Stamp's Concetta Kimer's A Mother's Love. I coloured it with Polychromos, dusted around it with ink and matted it onto purple card.

I finished the card with Curiosity Corner Paper Blossoms, a big purple bow and a cute wooden owl.

The Scribble & Scrap shop is open 24 hours a day, every day,  for your crafty needs so don't forget to go and have a look round.  I hope you can find the time to visit the Scribble & Scrap blog to enter your crafty creations at this busy time.

Docrafts Projects January 2015

Today I'm demonstrating the new Docrafts collections at The Range in Carmarthen. I'll be in the store from 10am until 4pm and would love you to stop by if you're in the area.
Yesterday I showed you some of the card samples I've made but today I have two projects.
This 3D frame was the bottom half of a box of chocolates in it's previous life. I gave it a couple of coats of gesso before a coat of pink Artiste acrylic paint. I finished by wiping smears of gold Artiste acrylic paint across it with a sponge.
The decoupage in the centre is from a Simply Floral A4 decoupage pack. There are lots of tags, words and other embellishments plus the backing paper in the set.
The paper roses have been fussy cut from one of the Simply Floral 12"x 12" papers and decoupaged with foam pads. I finished the frame with elements from the Bellissima charm pack.

This 'Handbag card' was made from a 6"x 6" card blank which I scored either side of the fold to create the base. The papers are from the Simply Floral and the Bellissima collections. The letters are from Bellissima and mounted on a die cut. The tag and charms are from the Bellissima range.
I used an X-cut Rectangle Parenthesis die for the top of the bag, folded it in half and fixed it to the back of the card. I attached a rose with a foam pad and used twine to act as a closure. The corners are Kraft card with faux stitching.
The inside was finished with more Simply Floral paper and another die-cut. The paper hides where the ends of the handle have been inserted through slots and glued. It's a nice idea to attach a small gift in a bag on the inside.
I hope you manage to get your hands on these fabulous new collections from Docrafts. And I'd love to see you at The Range in Carmarthen today if you're in the area.
To see more of my samples please visit my Docrafts gallery.

Docrafts Demonstration January 2015

With the festivities now over I've hit the ground running. I've spent this week playing with the new Docrafts collections and preparing for my Docrafts demonstration at The Range in Carmarthen. I will be in store from 10am till 4pm this Saturday, January 10th,  and would love to see you if you are in the area.
The new releases contain four main papercraft ranges, dies, embossing folders and decoupage sets. There is Shabby Chic, floral, vintage and cute artwork. Something for everyone. Here is a selection of samples I will be working with on Saturday.
These first cards are from the latest instalment of the aptly named Bellissima range.
There are beautiful papers, die-cut decoupage and coordinating embellishments.
Here I've used one of the collection's gorgeous adhesive resin frames.
The pretty Simply Floral range has papers with big flowers that are perfect for cutting out and decoupaging or using for home décor. The fusion of bright and pastel colours, stripes and polka dots works perfectly.
There are plenty of fabulous textural elements in the range to embellish your projects.
A simple but pretty card using a paper and some flowers cut from a matching paper.
The Victorian  Valentine collection is perfect for your upcoming Valentine's projects with the gorgeous romantic images and warm, rich colours.
Besides the iconic Victorian images there are montage papers, velvet ribbon and decoupage sets.
The coordinating dies and stamps will enhance your love themed creations.
The last collection is the brand new super sweet Little Meow with artwork featuring these bundles of cuteness.
The decoupage, card sets, papers, lace trims and paper bows are as irresistible as the kittens.
I hope you are inspired to check out your local Docrafts stockist so you can grab these fabulous new collections for yourself.  If you're in the Carmarthen area on Saturday please pop in to The Range and say "Hello".
I'll be back tomorrow to show you a couple of projects before I leave.

Kraftyhands January 2015 Challenge

Happy New Year to all the Kraftyhands fans out there. May 2015 be a happy, healthy and prosperous one for you.
Today is the start of the January challenge at Kraftyhands. Thank you to all of you who joined in with the December challenge, the lucky winners have been announced on the blog. This challenge is just for fun.
The theme this month is
"Winter Blues"
I have used the A little Bit Naughty CD to make my card. I just love this cheeky image.
There are some fabulously humorous images on this CD, all of them to be viewed with a tongue in cheek attitude. This is one of my favourites and I've used it a few times now to make cards for friends.

There are Card Making Sets, toppers, papers and much more on this CD. There is also a set of toppers available in the store. I've used various elements from the CD and added a length of lace across the card.

The bathing lady has a modestly placed flannel to spare her blushes.

I couldn't resist creating this sentiment on my computer.

Please visit the  Kraftyhands Challenge Blog for a full set of the challenge rules and to view the inspirational DT creations. Remember to be a follower of the challenge blog to qualify for entry in the challenge.

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge January 2015

Happy New Year everyone!!
May 2015 be a wonderful, healthy and prosperous year for you all. I shall be waking up in Cardiff this morning after (hopefully) a brilliant night out with friends. I hope you've all enjoyed your celebrations.
I am delighted to be able to share my first DT project for the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog with you today. It is a month long challenge and you can enter up to three times. A full list of rules is on the challenge blog. The theme for this month is a nice easy one:
"Anything Goes"

I have made a card using an image from this month's sponsor, Scrapper's Delights.

I started by covering a card blank with dark purple card and then selecting three papers from Bearly Mine (sadly a victim of the new VAT laws on digital artwork) and using MCS to mat and layer them. I cut one into a star.

This image is Honey Anime from Scrapper's Delights and comes with two digis but I only used one of them. I printed her off onto watercolour paper and coloured her with my Polychromos. I cut around the image and mounted it onto the card with foam pads.

The sentiment is computer generated and matted onto purple card. I finished the card with a triple bow and some faux pearls.
Please visit the Crafts Galore Encore challenge blog to see the other inspirational projects from my super talented team mates and enter your crafty creations.
